[ you were made to fill a purpose that only you can do]
in november i launched a new website designed by the ever talented brooke boiling, people ask how i chose to host with SHOWIT and to be honest i cannot really remember where i came across this company or what really drew me in other than the beautiful design option, raves about how easy it was, and the tag line YOU ARE UNIQUE (we know thats enough to have sold me)
im totally not a tech person and with my add i needed something simple. i had been so pleased with the costumer service, the tech guys were always so helpful with my endless questions as i began.
but what happened in december and since there after has forever changed me.
i discovered that SHOWIT was not just a software which i was running my website through.
this was a community.
a community which held some people who will forever be a large part of my life, because we share a perspective of the big purpose and a faith that is unwavering.
(i get chills typing that)
one morning looking through the showit website i realized all these talented individuals sharing their gifts, experiences, and themselves. i stumbled upon evan hunt as showiteer of the day and saw he was from chicago. i immediately messaged him asking to get together for coffee + explained how much i appreciated his work, man that guy is an artist and he doesnt even know it.
immediately evan put me into a facebook group of other chicago show it users (showiteers) and my world shifted. here were other AMAZING photographers in chicago, sharing information, sharing perspectives, sharing jobs, etc. i was no longer on this journey alone.
i was invited to attend a Chicago SHARE group holiday party which is where i met the ever adorable and kind jacquie | jacquie cole photography
a cute little brit who i now call my friend.
she is one of those people who is too sweet for words. the type of individual who is so open and real that makes you feel as if you have been friends since childhood.
she is articulate, she sees things very black and white- just as they are, and she is not afraid to admit when she doesn’t know the answer.
she radiates a light that pulls you in. and shares a smile you cannot help but feel
i am so blessed to walk down those unpaved roads with her as my friend.
